DETAILS
Single Mode
FIBRE optical is a flexible, transparent fibre made by drawing glass (silica) to a diameter slightly thicker than human hair. Optical fibres are used most often as a means to transmit light between the two ends of fibre, widely used in Fibre-optic communication, where permits transmission over longer distances and higher bandwidths (data transfer rate). Fibre are used instead of metal, less loss, in addition fibre is immune to electromagnetic interference.
Single mode (9/125um) fibre patch cord are the best choice for transmitting data over longer distances. Usually utilised for connections over large area such as college campuses and remote offices etc – higher bandwidth than multimode to deliver up to twice the throughput
